We were given the honor to sit down with Andria Whalon-Wicks, the VP-Sr. Bank Manager of Comerica Bank. Wicks oversees two branches (Parmer & Pflugerville), but that doesn’t hinder her ability to meet the needs of her clients. Her innovative approach to banking and her tenacity to educate and build relationships; not only with the brand, but the owner; shows why she is a leader in the industry.
Wicks is a native of Austin, Texas. She has been in the banking industry for the past 25 years, with her tenure dating back to a time when she went to school part time while also working at a bank. She has served in other roles, such as Teller, Sales & Service Specialist, Teller Manager, Personal Banker, and Business Center Manager. Talk about knowing your stuff! When asked what drives her to be in the industry, she simply stated, “…I love helping people.”
Comerica is a full-service relationship bank that has been around for 175 years. Services provided by Comerica include personal & business checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, certificate of deposit accounts, home equity lines of credit, mortgage loans, personal & business credit cards, merchant services accounts, and business lines of credit – they offer a very wide range of financial solutions for all. “We are like the old school bank; we focus on relationships and financial goals and how we can make a difference/impact,“ Wicks said. You could imagine that her love for people doesn’t stop at the bank!

Wicks’ goals for the year include staying involved in the community and providing financial services and education to business owners and their employees; she plans to do this by having free networking events at their banking centers.
